The School currently (Oct 2006) has 108 children enrolled, 47 of which are in the Nursery School.

The Nursery School has 3 classes catering for kids from 2 years old to 4 years old. 5 of the children in the nursery school are orphans.

14 of the Primary School kids are orphans and we have 6 more at secondary school.

If you contribute to our orphan support programme this also covers their school fees from Nursery through to Primary and onto Secondary education.

We need more support both for orphans and for help towards supporting the teachers and school equipment and resources.

  • The most urgent needs are for the Nursery School. They have no educational toys. These can be purchased in Sierra Leone, although relatively expensive, we still prefer to buy locally where possible as it feeds into the local economy.
  • Other school resources we like to buy locally are Geometry sets (Protractor/set square/compass), school bags and exercise books and text books. We get no government support for school books or materials.
  • Contributing to the Orphan Support programme is another way of helping with the child's education. Regular donations also contribute to feeding the orphans at lunch time while in school.
  • Teachers and staff can also be supported by a monthly contribution of £28 (GBP)/$52(USD). For every teacher supported we can give an education to 30 kids!
